Let's all say: "Robot ears!"

I keep a notepad or book with me almost all the time where I jot down ideas, notes, reminders and that sort of thing. I also do a good amount of doodling in these notebooks. I really get a kick out of going back to doodles I did months and months ago, and I'm surprised to sometimes actually find some that I like. This is one such doodle. Also, if you look closely you might be able to tell what meeting I was in while I was doodling instead of taking notes.

This little sketch was inspired by a story I read in a blog post by my good friend Ben and his wife Karrie, who have two ridiculously adorable girls. Their oldest daughter had put cotton swabs in her ears and called them "robot ears". So I was just thinking about how hilarious I found that and doodled it out.
